Jesus told us, his disciples, to out and make disciples of all nations. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. University Church of Christ members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple helping at the Welcome Center, or driving the church van to pick up children that other wise would not have a ride so they can learn and grow in the Lord, to Greeters at the door.

Missions & Outreach

University Church of Christ  is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom here at home as well as around the world. We are active in supporting missionaries with our money and with our prayers.  We support local organizations such as Hope Lodge, New Directions, and many more.  We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether big or small and minister in our own community.

Music Ministry/Praise Team

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. Others are involved in the choir.  These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of University Church of Christ, using their talents and gifts to glorify God. Contact Pam Jolly  about the music ministry team.

Greeters & Welcome Center staff

These people at University Church of Christ fills an important role. They are involved in assisting attendees, guiding traffic flow in the building, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. This team is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life.  If you are a people person then contact Erin Huddleston for more information.

Media & Technology

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of University Church of Christ. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. All of our weekly sermons are uploaded to our website in audio formats and soon to be video as well. We also maintain an active Facebook and Twitter feed for additional church communication.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. University Church of Christ is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Sunday, during the morning service, a team of volunteers is praying for the ministry of the Word in our prayer room. Throughout the week, volunteers to our Prayer Warriors team, pray for their pastor, a list of church members, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs.  If you have a special prayer request please send a private message to our Prayer Team here.

Children’s Church

In order to give our children the best Bible teaching possible in an environment more comfortable for their minds, University Church of Christ holds a children’s church service in conjunction with the main service. This special time gives kids more opportunity for interaction and learning in a context and manner that may be better suited to their age and learning styles. Our friendly children’s church volunteers have an endless stream of creativity–ranging from puppet shows, to games, to object lessons, and even their on praise and worship time.
