We are very pleased that you have
chosen to visit our Web site, and we would like to take this opportunity
to share with you a little bit about our programs. First of all, we
have a Sunday school program beginning at 9:30 AM each Sunday with
classes from nursery age to adult. Our worship service includes a blend
of traditional hymns and contemporary songs all aimed at bringing glory
and honor to our Heavenly Father. Sunday evenings are devoted to
studying God’s word either through direct scripture study, topical
studies, or various Christian books. Likewise we have Wednesday night
studies meeting in various places including the church fellowship hall,
any of which you are welcome to attend. If you need more information
about our services, please contact the church and we will answer any
questions you have.

We are very proud of the youth
ministries here at University Church of Christ. We offer programs,
classes, and activities for all children from birth through high
school. Allow me to share with you a little about each of the facets of
our youth ministries. We have classes for all children during Sunday
School and Sunday evening services. Our classes are divided into
smaller age groups and the curriculum used in each class is
age-appropriate with lessons and activities designed for the uniqueness
of the age group. Each Sunday every child participating in Sunday
School from age 4 years old through twelfth grade will student the same
lesson with the key points and life application differing according to
the developmental stage of the class. Sunday evenings are youth group
meetings and each class has its own curriculum and activities.
During the adult worship service, we
offer a children’s church program called “Wee Worship” to children ages
4 years through fifth grade. In this special service, children will
participate in worship, play games, and go in-depth into the Bible story
studied during the Sunday School hour.
In addition to our classes, there
are fun activities planned throughout the year to keep children involved
and to teach them the importance and joy of Christian fellowship. At
the end of each month there is a youth calendar available with the
schedule activities for the month ahead.
The goals of the youth ministries of
University Church of Christ are to promote Christian leadership,
service, individuality, and commitment while teaching Christ-like morals
and values and demonstrating the love and grace of God. We aim to give
children a place to belong and most importantly to foster the
development of personal relationships with Christ. We encourage every
child to participate in the programs, classes, and activities offered
and our desire is that parents support their active participation and
see the importance of youth ministry in the lives of their children.
If you have any questions regarding
our youth ministries or would like more information of how you can get
involved, please see me.
Humbly in His Service,
Chad Talbot
Youth Minister
